#Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Occurring this year on November 28, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the US). It is widely recognized due to its spinoff of the shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick off the holiday giving season. It is meant to inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

Cowichan Green Community is joining this initiative once again this year in hopes of reaching out to more people in our community. In lieu of this day we will be hosting a seed cleaning workshop at the Seed Incubator Farm on November 28th!

The call to action: Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 to support our family cooking classes, the Seed Incubator Farm, KinPark Programming, and our up-cycling programs! We are also looking for volunteers that have experience and expertise with computers and programming. Help us, help you!
