Nora moved to the Cowichan Valley from Victoria three years ago to pursue her interest in organic agriculture and permaculture. Deeply interested in food resiliency, permaculture, and seed production, she has a Permaculture Design Certificate and is an Organic Master Gardener. Her professional background includes expertise in film production, communications, marketing, online education, and project management. She is excited about developing a deeper connection to the community through the creation of edible landscapes – small and large.
Cyle has been getting his hands dirty since before he could walk. His Italian grandparents are urban farmers in Toronto and they inspired him to peruse a career in Edible Horticulture. Growing up on Saltspring Island and schooling in Victoria, he is a recent addition to the Cowichan gardening community. Cyle is excited to hone his horticulture craft amongst the plethora of passionate plant people in the valley.
Erin loves the Cowichan Valley and is excited to be part of creating landscapes that include food plants and food forests that are modeled from ecological processes. She loves talking about plants and soils and is keen to contribute to the growing community awareness and education on local food. Her Diploma in Organic Land Care, degree in Geography/Ecological Restoration and background in environmental stewardship projects is a great asset to her work with CGC. Erin is grateful to be working for such an amazing organization!
