KinPark Kid’s Camp: Join us to for another fun-filled green summer!
Cowichan Green Community is thrilled to bring back KinPark Kid’s Camp for a fifth summer! Located at Kinsmen Park in downtown Duncan, KinPark Kid’s Camp promises to be a new and exciting way for children to spend their summer holidays in the Cowichan Valley.
The KinPark Kid’s Camp counselors have been busy planning a summer filled with activities that focus on sustainability, the environment, teamwork, and community building. Here, kids can learn how to grow, cook and eat fresh local food, explore nature, plants and bees, make crafts, play in the park, and make friends.
“Every summer we get the opportunity to meet some incredibly smart children with an array of skills and talents, who also become quite the gardeners,” states Alyssa Krawchuk, KinPark Kid’s Camp counselor. “Our campers also use their skills to create yummy recipes in the kitchen, like green tomato pies, zucchini muffins, and even can their own pickles!”
This day camp for children ages 6-12 is located at Kinsmen Park (5789 Alderlea Street) and Cowichan Green Community (360 Duncan Street), in downtown Duncan. Dates are from June 27th to September 2nd, 2016, costing $125 per week (with the exception of the week following Canada Day and August long weekend, costing $100).
