11-PickingPearsIn the fall of 2014, Cowichan Green Community opened the KinPark Family Drop-In at KinPark Youth Urban Farm. Part of a two-year grant from Community Action Initiative, the focus of the Drop-In is to provide a fun and engaging place to hang out, build community, and create a safer park, with local-food as an over-arching theme. We offer FREE programming for children, youth, and families every Monday – Thursday. This includes cooking classes that teach basic skills, farm and nature activities to reduce stress, after-school craft and snack making, and a once a month free movie night for families.

KinPark Family Drop-In promotes mental, emotional, and physical health by growing together, creating together, and cooking together at the farm and in the kitchen!

For more information on the program please contact program coordinator Alyssa Loucks or Jennifer Dorby: 250-748-8506, or / 250-748-8506

To register for a cooking class please call Alyssa at 250-748-8506 or email
