Come in from the Rain at the Garden Pantry Thrift Store

Newsletter 2 Nov 2014

As we clean up our gardens and pack everything in from the winter rain, it’s a great time to take notice of the garden tools that have been collecting dust all summer long. Put them to use again by donating them to the Garden Pantry Thrift Store! Items such as rakes, shovels, hoses, pruning, weeding or other hand tools move fast as many gardeners stop in to see what’s new.

DCIM101MEDIAIf your clean-up moves indoors, we also accept cooking and food preservation items. This would make room to stock up your pantry with the delicious canned goods made by our own Kin Park Urban Youth Farm team! Grown locally in Kin Park and made with love in CGC’s community kitchen, you’ll find dill and bread & butter pickles, dilly beans, vanilla plum jam, a red and green tomato salsa, apple sauce, patty pan relish, hot pepper apple jelly and more. They come in a variety of sizes ranging from $4 – $6 each. Come in soon because they’re going fast!
